Rollin Along!

Dearie Dolls has the sweetest free images!  Take a moment and look around Mary Ellen's site. Today I used her Firetruck - Boy Color image.  Quick and easy birthday card for one of my grandsons!

SSW2 Sketch 145

Mary Ellen's Dearie Digis are inspired by the wooden dolls she and her husband Kip made together for 25 years. She likes to tell a little story with each illustration. Some of her favorite subjects are snowmen and children.

You're My Hero

Two of my grandson's have birthdays in May.
The youngest loves fire trucks so right away I knew which image
I wanted to use for his birthday card!
This is definitely an oldie but goodie!!!!!
You can find this image at Bugaboo Stamps.

I decided to use my molding pad and give the fire truck
some dimension along with his hat.
Then I decided the ribbon on the sketch needed to be the fire hose.
I was hoping I had something in my stash that would work
and sure enough this twill tape was the perfect addition.
Then I needed an fire hose nozzle
so I google images for fire hose nozzle and
came up with this nozzle, printed it off and cut it out!  Wha la!!!!
It's so fun when things come together the way you think them up in your head!

Anyway, my grandson is only three and this card will probably be destroyed in two minutes
but I know he will like it while it lasts!

This is the inside of his birthday card!

Never Lose Heart
Sweet Sketch 89

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  You will want to take a few moments and look around their site as Sally Ann has three pages of new images for February.    I chose this Nurse Grace image as my daughter is an ER Nurse.  She is such a fabulous nurse.   Everyone loves her and she has so much compassion.  Her grandmother was also a nurse so I think she inherited some genes from her.

Anyway, our DT has a wonderful lineup of Digi Stamp Boutique images to show you so stop by SSW and look around.  For our Grand Prize Winner, Digi Stamp Boutique is offering 6 free images of your choice.  I know you will not have any trouble finding 6 images you will like.  The problem will be in narrowing it down to 6 images.

We do hope you will play along this week.  We look forward to seeing what you will create.
Here is Sweet Sketch 89 for you to create with!

Happy Birthday Mama Nurse
Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sweet Sketch 41
Sponsor: Digi Stamp Boutique

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Thought I had better add a little green to my blog today!
This was such a fun card to create. It is a birthday card for my daughter who is a nurse and is expecting her first child. I tired to make the nurse's apron look like it was poochy by shading it darker but I didn't do a very good job so you probably wouldn't even notice. But it is the thought that counts! My daughter is an ER nurse and loves every minute of her job. I can ask her a simple question about anything medical and she can spout off for a good two hours about every little detail. Sometimes I have no clue what she is even saying ... but I am happy that she is well versed in her field!
I thought this image, Nurse Suzie, from Digi Stamp Boutique would make a perfect birthday card for my daughter. Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Sally Ann is so talented with her images. You will love every one. So take some time to check out her shop. And play along with us this week at SSW. Go ahead and get some inspiration from our DT. If you are the winner of the week, you will received $10 of digi images from the Digi Stamp Boutique. How fun is that!
Also we hope you are gearing up for our first Bunny Hop Blog Hop at SSW. It will be this weekend March 19, 20, 21. So be sure to come back on Friday to get all the details and to participate in the Bunny Hop....lots of prizes and also one Grand Prize will be offered. Digi Stamp Boutique will also be our sponsor for the Bunny Hop.
