Birthday Turtle
Sweet Sketch 99
Sponsor:  Bugaboo Stamps

Our sweet Jodie who owns Bugaboo Stamps is our lovely sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.    She is constantly creating new images...her imagination just doesn't end!  So you will want to check out her site here and be sure to click on each image as there are more images behind each image!

If you are our lucky winner this week at SSW you will have the sweet surprise of winning
7 Bugaboo digis valued at $21.
It wouldn't be hard for you to find seven that you like.
The hard part will be diwindling your list down to seven.

This Turtle Birthday was a freebie awhile back.  But you can still purchase it.  Of course, I used Arlana's fabulous sketch this week and added stickles to my balloons and party hat.  The added balloons are the MS balloon punch.  I then added glossy accents to the turles brown spots, the edge of his shell and toenails.
Hope you like it?  It will probably go to my grandson for one of his birthday cards...

Sweet Sketch 99

Next week we will be celebrating Arlana's 100th sketch!  Can you believe it?  100 weeks and 100 sketches!  Be sure to stop by for our blog hop and all the fun prizes.

Flowers, Birds and Turtle
Sweet Sketch 97
Well, I'm back to reality! I had a great time visiting Arlana and creating my cards through April.

Can hardly wait for you to see what I created for you!

Today I have three adorable images from
Clear Dollar Stamps

Basket of Flowers
On this card I used a new embossing folder from Quickutz that I purchased at the Scrapbook USA Expo called Flowers!  Wish you could see the sparkle in the center of the flowers on this image but my camera didn't capture it .  I think you can see the sparkle on the dragonfly, fronds and flower center. Not sure how I managed to cut the dragonfly out but it worked for me this time.   This image is a freebie at Clear Dollar Stamps.  Isn't is cute as can be? Just love that basket of flowers and the little dragonfly!

Turtle Greetings
I loved this Turtles Greeting image and thought it would make a fabulous birthday card for my grandson when he turns three....in another year.  I'm planning ahead!  As you can see I used Glossy Accents on his shell! I also used stickles on the flames and the turtle's party hat.  Then I just put together the little badge and used a marker to add the three.
Oh, the Nesti Pinking Circles is also a new purchase from the Expo.  I've been wanting that one for some time now.  I used it to make the badge too!

Love Tweet Love
I'm always in need of wedding cards and thought this would be a perfect addition to my collection.  The embossing folder is another purchased from the Expo.  It is from Quickutz and called Swirls.  I added stickles to all the hearts and circles and on their head and tail feathers and added a little blue jewel in the center of the his flower!  Again my camera doesn't show the sparkle like I wanted it to but hopefully you can imagine!

Clear Dollar Stamps is our sponsor at SSW this week!
You will definitely want to play along as
Lori's fabulous prize is a $25 gift certificate!
Now wouldn't you love to spend that at Clear Dollar Stamps!

For You
Sweet Sketch 96

I thought I would be back home today but I will be spending another week with Arlana as we have lots of work to accomplish some of which is related to SSW!
Today I am so excited to show off this sweet image from
I have always loved Heather's sweet images.
This image is called Pure Innocence 20.
I have used one of my favorite embossing folders from SU...Square Lattice.
I also love this MS Daisy Border punch and have it in the larger scrapbooking punch!  For the finishing touches I added stickles to her little jacket, shoes and the centers of all the flowers! Now I just want you to know that she reminds me of my grand daughters with their sparkly shoes and outfits!
I'm not sure if you can see all the sparkle.  But the paper also has a sparkle to it.
Digi Stamp Characters is our sponsor at SSW this week.  Heather is offering
3 Free Digis from her etsy shop
to our Grand Prize Winner at SSW!

Hoppy Easter
Sweet Sketch 95
Sponsor:  Stamp Fairy

Sweet Sketch Wednesday has rolled around again.  I am visiting Arlana and enjoying her craftroom.  We had a fabulous day last Friday at the Scrapbook USA Expo.  We both came home with a bundle of paper like we didn't even own a sheet!  How is it that we can get so excited about paper?  Have you ever wondered that? I also purchased some new nesties and embossing folders that you will see in the coming weeks!  This week Arlana used the Nestie Deckled Oval.  Go take a look...it is adorable!

We hope you all had a fun week using Bunnies last week!  We loved seeing your cards on SSW!

This week I have used another bunny from Stamp Fairy.  She is called "Clementine - Carrots."  I also used the Hoppy Easter sentiment which was a free download at Stamp Fairy.  I inked the edge pink and added it to the SU Oval and Modern Label.  I haven't used my stamps lately and wanted to create my own design on some paper so I stamped the little flowers on the Kiwi Kiss paper!

Stamp Fairy is our awesome sponsor this week at SSW!  Gerda is constantly creating new images.  You will love them all!  Be sure to check out what our DT has created for you this week.  When you play along you have a chance to be our Grand Prize Winner.  Gerda is offering
four free digis of your choice
if you are our winner.

Sweet Sketch 93

This week I had fun using a SU Texturz Plate called Perfect Details.  After embossing the bosenberry paper, I inked the embossed layers with SU Whisper White ink.  I thought this embossing folder would add a lattice or garden look.  If I were to do my card over again, I would also add the embossing and ink to the Lovely Lilac paper for more texture and dimension.  I also added stickles to the bee's wings and puffy to the bunny's tail.  Fun, fun sketch!

Old Water Pump
Sweet Sketch 92

This week I created my card with The Old Water Pump image from Digi Doodle Shop.  I chose this image because my grandmother did not have inhouse plumbing when I was young but she had an old water pump in her back yard!  I remember being so intriqued by it.  However, today I am thankful for instant running water that does not have to be heated on a coal stove.   Not sure how my grandmother made it through life!
This is my Grandmother's home in the midwest!
The water pump was in the back yard!

This week our sponsor at Sweet Sketch Wednesday is Digi Doodle Shop.  I love looking around their shop as they have so many fun and interesting images.  Go ahead take a look.  And while you are at it take a look at our DT inspiration for you with some of these fabulous images.  Digi Doodle Shop is offering a sweet sweet prize, a $10 Gift Certificate for you to spend if you are our Grand Prize Winner at SSW this week.

This is Arlana's Sweet Sketch 92 that you will use for your creation this week!

Ellie Elephant
Sweet Sketch 91

This sweet image, "Ellie Elephant" at Di's Digi Downloads just tugged at my heart strings this week.  It reminded me of the stuffed elephant my daughter recieved as a gift from her grandma when she about 6 years old.  It was handmade by a special friend.  Now my daughter is married and has her own little girl and has made it very clear to me that she wants her "Ele" for her little girl.
So I made this little card to go along with the transfer!!!
Now I just have to locate Elle in the attic!
Wish me luck!

For days I have been looking for "Ele" in the attic and just found her at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday evening
 (1 3/4 hours before posting...what luck!)
I will need to spend some time this week cleaning and sprucing her up along with the turquoise ribbon!
But she doesn't look too bad for being 25 years old!
She is 20 inches tall! (same as when I last saw her)
Now can you tell why I chose these colors for my card!

Thank you, Diane, for your sweet digi "Ellie Elephant" image! Please feel free to post my card on your blog!

Ele straight from the attic!

The Before

Update:
This is "Ele" all fresh and clean!  I think my daughter will be pleased to have her "Ele" back!  I will be giving Ele to her today!

The After
