Boo and Candy Corn Girl
Sweet Sketch 71
Sponsor: Sassy Cheryl's

Boo!

For this week I managed to get two cards made. Arlana bought Nancy and I each an image from Sassy Cheryl's so that is why I have two cards this week. We just love Sassy Cheryl's images. They are so fun to work with. I love all her detail. Our DT was given three images to create with. All three images are so fun. I just loved this little ghost. It's he just adorable? Hardly the scarey type but that is to my liking! I'm not fond of spiders either but even he looks rather friendly! Don't you think? To accent the image I used the MS bat punch!

As you can guess...Sassy Cheryl's is our sponsor this week at SSW! Cheryl is offering a fabulous prize of a
$5 gift certificate!
So be sure to play along....you may be the lucky winner!
You will love using Arlana's Sweet Sketch 71 this week! It's one of my very favorite sketches!

Candy Corn Girl

Candy Corn Girl is my second card this week. I had a blast creating this card. I cut out the candy corns from the background paper and glued them to the purple polka dot paper. I also cut out the wrapped candy to add to the top of my bow. Then I topped things off with the green metal dots...just love using those dots.

Gobble Gobble
Sweet Sketch 69
Sponsor: Sweet 'n Sassy

Gobble Gobble!!! I know it is only September but Thanksgiving is just around the corner for us here in the US! I will tell you straight up...it is a big work day for Moms!!!! Now I have four children....all grown but not all married. I am looking forward to the day when they will all contribute to the fixins'. Just cooking the turkey would be the easy part for me. But I usually start two or three days ahead by making rolls and pies, cranberry sauce and salads. Well, I have a new double oven this year...so why am I complaining... I have tried to buy rolls and pies but I get all kinds of complaints from my children because the rolls and pies are a tradition...and when you start a tradition you can't change it.... The problem was that... I didn't know it had become a tradition!

This little turkey is called Templeton Turkey. He is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. They are our sponsor this week at SSW! Yes, their images are sweet 'n sassy! So be sure to look around their site. Sweet 'n Sassy is offering a very Sweet 'n Sassy prize of a

$10 Gift Certificate

Mouse In the House and Baby and Bunny
Sweet Sketch 64

This week I am not able to go for my daily hike around the golf course as we are having the 110th US Amateur Championship at Chambers Bay Golf Course. I will really miss my daily hike but will spend more time walking the streets and going to the gym. Here is a link to photos of our course. Wait a few seconds and it will give you a quick slide show of the course. The Course is right on the Puget Sound. The hardest park of the hike is up through the fir trees on the far right side of the course. After more than three years, I keep thinking it will get easier but it doesn't. It is just a good workout for this body! Now can you see why I savor my morning hike! It is a 3 1/2 mile trail around the course.

If you are interested in brocasting times

Aug 25 Golf Channel 3:30-5:30 p.m.EDT
Aug 26 Golf Channel 3:30-5:30 p.m. EDT
Aug 27 Golf Channel 10:00 a.m. -Noon EDT
Aug 28 NBC 1-3 p.m. EDT
Aug 29 NBC 1-3 EDT
Aug 28 is a taped delay

Well, that is probably more than you wanted to know! But I mostly wanted you to see how beautiful the Puget Sound is.

Today I have three cards to showcase. I never have time to make three cards but I had some relaxing time at Arlana's last month. I love this sketch. My favorite part is the border. I could have cut out borders all day long!

Arlana's Sweet Sketch 64
Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Character. Thank you Heather, for creating such fun images and for sponsoring us this week. Digi Stamp Characters is offering 3 free digis to the winner of the week. So why don't you play along and you could be the lucky winner! Go ahead and drooling over the three images you are wanting!

My Recipe:
Image: Digi Stamp Characters: MITH Wheelbarrow
Papers: Cosmo Cricket: Little Girls Secrets, Red, Blue, SU Pear Pizzaz
Ink: Copics and Promarkers
Tools and Embellishments: Nestabilities Large Classic Square, SU Border Punch, Ribbon, Flowers, Brad, Rhinestones
My Second Card

I just love this baby image! That little stuffed bunny is too cute!

My Recipe:

Image: Digi Stamp Characters: Baby
Papers: Paper Pizazz: Hot Off the Press Yellow Daisies, Plaid?, DCWV Cardstock
Ink: Copics and Promarkers
Tools and Embellishments: Nestabilities Large Classic Square, MS Border Punch, Flowers, Pearls

My Mistake but I had to finish it!

This card is a slight deviation from the Sweet Sketch 63. I acutally made the square for the image too small as the ribbon was suppose to lay across the bottom of the square. I was still happy with the results. The flowers are from Michael's Dollar Bin. It includes the flowers and the little jewels...packaged in Red, Yellow and Pink! Arlana found these and she was going to split them for us. So I ran to my Michaels to make sure Nancy, Arlana and I had all three packages. Nancy, now you know! You have three packages waiting for you at Arlana's.

Instead of putting jewels on the flowers in the wheelbarrow, I dotted the centers of the red flowers with Stickles.

My Recipe:

Image: Digi Stamp Characters: MITH Wheelbarrow
Papers: Cosmo Cricket: Early Bird: Apron Strings, SU Kiwi Kiss,
Ink: Copics and Promarkers
Tools and Embellishments: Nestabilites Large Classic Square, Stickles, Rhinestine. Flowers and jewel, Stickles
