Gerry's Birthday
Sweet Sketch 51
Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sponsor: Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps

I made this card about three weeks ago for my daughter who is expecting a boy that mysterious transformed to a girl this week! Before we knew the sex of the baby the first time, I wanted to do something fun for my daughter so I conducted a National Family Baby Poll regarding the sex of the baby....Well, I guess it turned out that everyone in the family was right at least for a few moments!

My daughter was so thrilled over this card...she said it was definitely going into the baby book! Now that made Grandma happy! Of course the comments, I wrote inside the card are regarding the arrival of our new grandson! Guess his arrival is being delayed! Anyway, we are getting excited for our newest grand daughter to arrive. Hoping that the doctors do not change their mind again!

Anyway, this adorable giraffe image is from Prairie Fairy Designs! It is called "Gerry's Birthday!" When I saw it I thought it would make a darling baby card! Prairie Fairy Designs is our sponsor this week for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I had so much fun looking around at their images. So take a few moments and do the same. You may also want to choose an image to make a card and play along with us this week at SSW! If you are the lucky winner for this week, the prize is 5 single images of your choice from Prairie Fairy Designs. (A double image counts as two images.)

Arlana, created such a fun image to work with this week! It came together so easily and gives such a fun effect to your image!

Here is the sketch!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sweet Sketch 49
Sponsor: Pixie Dust Studio

I was so excited when I saw this image on Pixie Dust Studio. It made me want to just ride along for the adventure! I was in the middle of creating my card when I viewed Carrie's card on SSW on the week of April 14 for Sweet Sketch 45. I loved how she tied the rope to her button. So when I realized that there was a rope in this image I decided to create a break away look with the rope. I was going to use twine but the color wasn't the right shade so I pulled out my scrapper's floss and started hand crocheting it and came up with this. Thanks Carrie for your inspiration!

This is Sweet Sketch 49 for this week!

Cute As a Cupcake!

I wanted to make a birthday card for my granddaughter who will be turning 5 in June. When I came across this image, I thought it would make a perfect card! I wanted it to be bright and cheery. I was looking for a birthday paper but I am a softy for dots. I found the polka dot paper at JoAnn's then found the flower print in my stash. Arlana and I found the Pink and Purple flowers at the Scrapbook USA Expo along with the glittery brads. I added the yellow flowers from my stash. I also used Crystal Effects on the cherries. Arlana, thanks for the fun sketch!
