Bugaboo Photo Inspired Challenge

I have to say the photo below instills some real nostalgia in me.
It reminds me of my father.
In fact this garden looks much like my father's farm in Utah.
This photo is called
A Bunch of Carrots by Robert Duncan,
an artist who lives in Midway, Utah.
The mountain range in this photo is part of the Wasatch front.
It looks just like the portion of the range that I have viewed my entire life.

A Bunch of Carrots
 Robert Duncan

I have used the colors in this photo to create my card.
I do not have a garden like my father's so
I chose the Bugaboo birdhouses image because I love the
chickadees, titmouse, finch, grosbeak and hummingbirds
that come to my feeders during the year.

I wanted to use my Sizzix Top Note and SU Butterfly Wings;
therefore, my creation began from these parameters
along with this photo inspiration.

This is my last week to create with the Bugaboo DT.
I just want to say thank you to everyone at Bugaboo and
to all of you who have come to visit!

Thanks for the privilege of being
Bugaboo's Biggest Fan for April 2015!

Hope you will remember to take some time to play along at

Bugaboo's Bingo Challenge

Can you see how much fun I had creating this birthday card for one of my grandson's?
This is Bugaboo's Martian-ship image.

I used this fun font to create the sentiment inside my card.
The font is called AR HermAnn.  Love the swirls in the o's!

This week is the Bugaboo Bingo Challenge at
Well I believe I came up with a Double Bingo!

I used Bugaboo Image, Texture and three layers and I used Scallop (if you count the pinking circle as a scallop), Texture and Bling to create my card for this week's challenge at
Bugaboo's Catch the Bug.

I hope you will take some time to play along
and win some fun Bugaboo images!
Be sure to stop by Catch the Bug!

I used a previous Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch!

Dragonfly Journeys
Challenge No 1~Dragonflies

This week at Dragonfly Journeys, Jeannie, started a new Challenge blog.  Jeannie is a former Sweet Sketch Wednesday DT member and friend.  I have always loved Jeannie's creations so it's fun to see her break out on her own.  In case you can't tell, Jeannie, loves dragonflies.  I had to do a little hunting to find a dragonfly for this card.  I actually had a stamp in my collection but didn't like how it inked up so I did a search on the internet and came up with this freebie digi and printed it off in two sizes.

Be sure to stop by and check out Dragonfly Journeys!

Bugaboo Earth Day Challenge

Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day History

Ever wondered how Earth Day started? This observance arose from an interest in gathering national support for environmental issues. In 1970, San Francisco activist John McConnell and Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson separately asked Americans to join in a grassroots demonstration. McConnell chose the spring equinox (March 21, 1970) and Nelson chose April 22. Millions of people participated, and today Earth Day continues to be widely celebrated with events on both dates. The most common practice of celebration is to plant new trees for Earth Day.

Any way you choose to celebrate Earth Day,
I hope we will always remember to keep our earth clean.
Remember to recycle as much as you can and
keep our parks, mountains, lakes and oceans free from debris.
Leave them cleaner than when your arrived so that others will enjoy their beauty too!

I used this Bugaboo Stamp Crab Boat to remind you of our oceans and the lovely creatures that are housed there.  Please allow them to stay!  Do not pour chemicals down your street drains as they drain directly to rivers, lakes and the ocean!

When I was visiting Hong Kong and Okinawa
nothing was more beautiful than viewing
a pink dolphin, sea turtles and many other creatures.
 Happy Earth Day!

Hello Baby Giraffe

I have loved this image from the moment I saw it on ADFD.  It is called Hello Baby Giraffe! I am so happy to create with it this week!  I tried something different this time...I have never used the dots around an image but I must say I had so much fun dotting this little giraffe!  I also popped the ear on the first card since it didn't fit inside the deckled frame.  Love the dimension it gave to the card!   I wasn't able to locate any purple pearls so I inked them up to match! I also love using the stitching lines.  I see that it is a little crooked although it isn't as noticeable in real life!  On occasion I like making two cards...partly because I love the paper choices and partly because I like having extra cards available.

Thanks you, Tammy, for creating such a fun image!

Bears Birthday

I have created this card for the Anything Goes Challenge at
Isn't this the most adorable birthday image from
It is called
Frame It - Bears Birthday and can be found here.
I am using a past sketch from SSW2;
however, I have flipped the sketch,
I colored the image up with copics and
used satin ribbon from Michael's.
The yellow and orange ribbon is from my stash.
The DP is BoBunny Sun Kissed Stripe and Sun Kissed Adventure.
I also used some Glossy Accents on the balloons and heart
and stickles on the confetti sparkles.

I have some other fun news to share!
I have been chosen to be
Bugaboo's Biggest Fan for the month of April.
I am so excited to create with the Bugaboo Design Team this month.
Thanks so much, Bugaboo!
I hope you will stop by each Saturday to check what I create and also stop by
to see what the DT creates.

Thanks for sharing in my fun!

This is the sketch I used from SSW2!

Be sure to stop by on Wednesday to see my
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 card!
