Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sponsor: Bugaboo Stamps
Isn't this the most adorable watermelon ant you have ever seen? I used my oval nesti and SU Crystal Effects. I wished I had purchased the ant brads at the Scrapbook USA show last Spring when I went with Arlana and Nancy! I looked all over Tacoma for black ants to use where I have the three brads but I finally gave up. Then I thought black ant stickers would have worked. But no luck! Hope you enjoy my summer picnic card!
This week our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. They are offering a very sweet prize of 7 digis valued at $21. Boy, you could have a lot of fun choosing from Jodie's awesome collection! Go ahead...look around and see all the fun digis you can't do without!

Great card Judi! Really love the shine and the brads work fine for me! Great image too ain't it! Wish there were more craft shows here, there's only one and that's in October which feels like YEARS away instead of months. :-D
ReplyDeleteHi Judi I love your card it's really cute. It was one of the images I was considering. Great minds think a like you were looking for Ants and I was in the garden cutting up wood, I was going to use rounds of wood instead of the flowers with the ladybugs on, but looked a little heavy on the card. If I had a skill saw I could have cut them thinner. Maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteTake care Kathie.
Judi, this is just too adorable! Love how you add the shine to the little critter and his yummy watermelon. Perfect paper for a sweet card.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Judi! Yep, you are right - that IS the most adorable watermelon eating ant! Your paper is perfect and I love the pink and green together - delish!
ReplyDeleteDeanne :)
ohhh, this is so cute, Judi. I love how you used the crystal effects on the eyes, etc. It really makes your image pop. Just makes me want to go have a slice of watermelon. I hope you had a safe trip home.
ReplyDeleteToo cute...if I can say that about an ant!!! Love, love, love your coloring, especially of that piece of watermelon, simply perfect! You may not have found your ant brads, but you hit it out of the park with that designer paper...it's wonderful!!

Judi, what a fantastic card and look how you made the ant's eyes and antennae pop with the crystal effects! I love that stuff! I always enjoy seeing your cards because you know how to add extra bounce to the card, bringing it alive and I have always learned by watching your fab creations! That watermelon looks especially edible - outstanding coloring! Thanks for the love you left - it will be empty not being on the team. I do so envy you having your sisters crafting with you; one of my biggest joys is seeing and hearing the three of you getting together and sticking together! It always warms my heart! But I'll certainly be by checking your blog for all the fun things you do! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card! I love the colors and the ant with the watermelon is just darling. I just love it!

Hello Judi, I love this aunt image. Your aunts would have been adorable. But your card is cute just the way it is. I love how you layered the ovals and added the cyrstal effects to the eyes. It was so much fun having you in utah and make our cards for the fourth. Love ya and thanks for all you do to help me with the blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is a darling image! And hey a picnic is better without the ants anyway! LOL! I think your card turn out perfect! The crystal effects are the perfect touch! Have a great 4th!
