Sweet Sketch 59
I usually do not have time to make a second card...but two months ago when I was in Utah visiting Arlana...I was relaxed and had plenty of time to create and enjoy these two images from Digi Stamp Boutique.
For months I have been terribly grumpy about the cold weather that we have experienced in the NW and Utah.....so when I saw this happy summery image of the two frogs...it perked me up a bit.
We have a pond in our back yard and every spring the frogs come out of hibernation and begin to croak....then I know spring is on it's way.
But I recently found out that part of my grumpiness is due to my low Vitamin D which is a hugh problem here in the NW. So I am now on a mega dose of Vitamin D for 12 weeks...50,000 units a week. Two weeks ago we finally had our summer....we broke heat records all week long...but now we are back to our normal temps...65-80 degrees for this time of year...that is still summer for me if the rain doesn't dampen the sun rays!

Wow Judi! They're fabulous, your summer is looking a lot better than ours. The sun has just appeared here, has taken it's pretty little time. Love the froggys!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are adorable! I am sure you will be feeling great after you take your loading dose of vitamin D. I am actually getting mine tested too - small world!!! It's interesting that a lot of people are having a crappy Summer (weather wise) - I always think it is just me LOL

ReplyDeleteAny sunny day that you get, be sure to go sit outside and soak up some rays. That will boost that Vitamin D defiency.

Adorable, both cards are simply adorable!!! Love the picture of your backyard pond too! We recently installed a pondless waterfall in our backyard. No frogs, but lots of birds bathing and getting a drink. I love it!!

Judi, week after week you blow me away with your cards! You always pick the perfect colors and papers for your images! These are both just so adorable! I love your landscaping too! You should come and do my yard! It has been about 95 degrees everyday here for going on 2 months, so your weather sounds fab. too me :) My pool water is so hot you don't even want to go swimming! I guess you are never happy with the weather no matter where you live! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon. I am going to ask my DR about the vitiam D thing at my next visit? My Mom's Dr just put her on it also, although we have warm weather here, it is TOO hot to spend much time outside. Wow, sorry about the book here! Have a great week!

Now to your cards I adore them both Spike makes me laugh as that is the name of my son's Cat and he's Black with a little White. But your frog card is wonderful as I adore frogs, love the paper and colours you have used. I've choosen that image for next month. We too have a pond it's very large which you can row a boat on and has a bridge over it and the Wisteria comes out all over it in early spring and there have been many Wedding photo's taken on it. Did you know there is a world shortage of frogs I was watching this on the Discovery Channel with my son. Have a wonderful week together.

Judi, both of your cards are sooo cute. Great minds think alike. I love these frog images. They are so cute. I thouhgt you might tell about your frogs in your back yard. I wish I could be there with you and Arlana. Have a fun trip and I will be talking to you tonight.
ReplyDeleteYour backyard pond area is gorgeous! I miss all of that greenery! Your Bob and Beji card is very summery and I love how you did the darker green shading underneath them. Spike is just as cute as can be, and I love the pinks!
