For my birthday my husband purchased the Husqvarna Viking 910 Huskylock Serger. I have been so pleased with the performance of this machine.
which I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the extra money for but after using the machine for one month, I am so happy to have that feature on the machine rather than thumbing through the manual every time I change the fabric or project.
In the past month I have made five baby receiving blankets out of flannel using the overlock stitch and have also made nine table squares with the rolled hem.
Two looks on the Rolled Hem
The things I like most about the machine are the look of the overlock, the look of the rolled hem and the ease of threading the machine.
My machine was purchased at JoAnn's in their Viking Sewing Center. Two instructional lessons come with the machine which can be taken over and over again if needed. Also the employees are very helpful in answering questions or problems you may have.

The thread catcher is a little small. It attaches to the legs of the machine. My sister made me a larger thread catcher which works better when sewing for longer sessions.
An employee recommended that I purchase a brush to clean out the inside of the machine along with a mini vacuum attachment. I have not used the mini vacuum yet; however, the brush has been extemely helpful. It is a 1 " Loew-Cornell Soft Comfort 18170 Oval Mop.
I also purchased a Crisper Liner at Dollar Tree. It's a 12"X12" pad. Perfect for placing under the machine to keep it from vibrating on the table. If you can't locate the square, the shelf liner will also do the trick.
If you choose this machine, you won't be disappointed.
