My Dad
Sweet Sketch 57
Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sponsor: Digi Doodle Shop

These are two pictures of my Dad on the farm when he was 10 and 12 years of age. The first picture is Dad standing in front of the rootbeer stand. The second picture is of him sitting on a pile of watermelons. The acres of farm land no longer exists....it is now fancy condos and houses.

So when I saw this Farm Boy image on the Digi Doodle Shop site, I knew I had to use it to create a card for my dad for Father's Day! Doesn't it remind you of him? There were plenty of apples, peaches and cherries on the farm too! I could go on and on but I won't!

Well, I did mail this card to my Dad and he really seemed to enjoy it. Nancy and Arlana also made a card for him. I think we all touched a spot that brought back childhood memories for him.

Our sponsor this week is Digi Doodle Shop and this image is called "Farm Boy and Apples." Digi Doodle Shop has such a fabulous prize this week. They are offering a $10 gift certificate to our weekly winner at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Now wouldn't you love to go pick out a few of your favorite images!

Here is the sketch you will use this week to play along for a chance

to win the $10 Gift Certificate!

This is a closer view of my Dad!

  12. Wow Judi how sweet is that, I think i have three pictures of my Grandad as a young boy and only two of my own Dad. Maybe that's why he was the snap happy Daddy we all dreaded at every little event. :-D Dad's are brilliant, i'd be lost without mine. We're so alike it's unreal. Great card this week, it's even extra special because of the story, makes it more personal and sweet. :-D
